The Teaching of Sang Guru Sejati (The True Teacher)

Hasta Sila (Eight Principles) is the essence from the teaching of Sang Guru Sejati (The True Teacher) which stands for two parts: Tri Sila (Three Principles) and Panca Sila (Five Principles).

FOREMOST PATH

Useful to reach the character of Hasta Sila (Eight Principles), human must walk in the Foremost Path inside their daily living, which is fulfilling:

God’s prayer towards servant

Prayer is a form of servant’s witness in which only God who must be worshipped and acknowledgment of servant towards God’s power.

Prayer must be absorbed by servant in fulfilling their living in the world.

Praying

Praying is a form of servant’s devotion towards God the Almighty. In undergoing praying, servant is given freedom to fulfill as according with their confidence and heart’s purity.

Good Deed

Good Deed is a form of explanation about compassion towards fellow living which manifest as giving good/helping in way that is sincere and without reward towards anyone as accordance with the need of the helped and accordance with the capability of the helper.

Curbing of Air Passion-Desire

So, to be able to fulfil the said three duties, thus must be based with curbing the air of passion-desire so to prevent action that is not good. The curbing of air passion-desire is done none other with the lessening or limiting (brata) eat, drink, sleep and coitus.

Noble Mind

Noble mind is all actions or glorious deed towards fellow creature that is based on compassion.

Agar Hasta Sila sebagai inti ajaran dapat terlaksana dengan baik, maka diingatkan bahwa para hamba tidak boleh melanggar larangan Tuhan yang disebut Paliwara. In order for the Eight Principles as essence of the teaching be able to be fulfilled well, so thus fellow servant is reminded to not violate God’s prohibition that is called ‘Paliwara’ (Prohibition).

PALIWARA

Paliwara (Prohibition) is God’s 5 prohibitions:

Do not worship other than God (Suksma Kawekas)

Do not worship towards what is not meant to be worship, do not idolise what is not supposed to be idolised, like: idol (image), prophecy, places that people make sacred of, action that is irrational and so on.

Be careful in the matter of coitus

Truly the obligation of male and female is to fulfil God’s intention to become intermediary for the descend of the Holy Spirit in continuing descendant. To continue descendant must be made inside the bond of marriage that is legitimate with decency and love-affection. For this reason, human must be careful, do not just pursue the joy of sex.

Do not consume (eat) or use consumption which easily damages the physical body.

Food or drink which contain poison and habit that can cause the damage of the soul and body must be avoided, for example: alcohol drink (liquor), drugs (cocaine, ecstasy, etc), gambling, and penchant which causes to forget one’s obligation.

Obey the regulations of state and its law.

Caliphates are God’s representatives who are obliged to manage the entire members of the state so to be able to live prosperous and together. The law of regulations which result from the caliphates are always made for the interest of the whole nation, so are obliged to be obeyed by the whole members of the state.

Do not conflict.

The character of enjoying conflict truly is a behaviour of a person who does not have belief that is correct, because all humans originate from one Life Source, that is God the Almighty. For this reason, it must be made that all humans must live together harmoniously. Avoid all actions which causes conflict or damages unity, like: jealous heart, accusation, domestic assault, talking bad about other people and feeling of mutual enemies. Put effort in self-care before seeking the mistake of others.

The Base Principle is a manner of living towards the inner and outer for all members of Pangestu.

The knowledge about the soul anatomy (soul carriage) can be conveyed as the balance of the soul.

The balance of soul can be reached in moment the thought cognition, feeling and passion-desires are able to be conscious, believe and obedient. Thus, human must first understand the functions from thought cognition, feeling and desires.

Prof. Dr. Soemantri Hardjoprakoso, a psychiatrist and a Pangestu member, at the time he took a doctorate degree in Rijks Universiteit, Leiden on the year 1956 with dissertation as titled: Indonesisch Mensbeeld Als Basis Ener Psychotherapie (Soul Carriage of Indonesia as Basis for Cure of Soul Disease). He took reference from Sasangka Jati as his foremost references in making his dissertation.

Soul Carriage of Soenarto

In the beginning the soul carriage was arranged by Prof. Dr. Soemantri Hardjoprakoso within the field knowledge of Psychology inside the name Soul Carriage of Indonesia. Reason being that in 1956 he was proud to be as an Indonesian exposing about the human soul carriage in the Netherland.

By the time he returned to his home soil, and when he explained the soul carriage in his own country, he changed the title to “Soul Carriage of Soenarto”. Reason being that according to him, his inspiration to form the idea of human soul carriage came from Raden Soenarto Mertowardojo.

In the soul carriage which explain the anatomy of the human soul, the human soul is divided into three parts:

 

  1. True Realm is the place of throne of Tripurusa (Holy Trinity) = Kingdom of God inside the central heart of human. The existence of Tripurusa (Holy Trinity) inside the heart does not need place, not felt, not seen, not palpable (immaterial existence).
  2. True feeling
    The climate of the soul that is not filled with thought, feeling or desires rather the soul climate that is clean, pure and bright.
  3. Soft physical body = soul (psyche)
    Soul (psyche) stands for:
    1. The passion desires which are made from the elements of air, fire, water and earth becomes the human passion desires which are: Mutmainah/air (social and worship/devotion), Amarah/fire (motivation), Sufiah/water (wanting/intention) and Luamah/earth (eat, drink, sleep and coitus). Passion desire is a form of motor function for movement from the rough physical body of human.
    2. The thought cognition which are made from thought, logic and understanding/idea. The existence of thought cognition causes the emergence of the ‘me’ or ‘ego’ feeling. To the point where human feel to exists and as if disconnected from the unity with God the Almighty. The duty of the thought cognition is to control the passion desire.
    3. The feeling occurs because in every moment the human passion desire and thought cognition are interacting. If when Sufiah/water (wanting/intention) is fulfilled as agreed by the thought cognition, thus the feeling is happy, acceptant (positive). If when the wanting/desire is not fulfilled or not agreed by the thought cognition, thus the feeling is sad, disappointed, refuse/deny (negative).
  4. Rough physical body = human body

SOUL CARRIAGE THAT IS DEPICTED AS A GOLDEN CHARIOT.

THE IDEA OF RADEN SOENARTO MERTOWARDOJO AND PAINTED BY SOEBIAKTO.

The Golden Chariot is a form of parable of the anatomy of the human soul.

  • Carriage/Chariot = Rough physical body (container/casing) of human.
  • Passenger = Holy Spirit.
  • Driver = Thought cognition (Thought, Logic and Understanding/Idea).
  • Horse = Passion-desire: white horse – Mutmainah , yellow horse – Sufiah , red horse – Amarah and black horse – Luamah

The ideal depiction of human is with thought cognition (driver) arranging the passion desire as motor for movement, as according with the want/intention of the Holy Spirit (splash of God’s light) walking in the Correct Path in sync with God (Suksma Kawekas) intention irradiated by the brightness (light) of God’s Messenger (Suksma Sejati), so the horse or human passion desire must be positioned as in the following: Mutmainah in the front leading Sufiah, as in so Amarah and Luamah follow to give strength.
